Los Loney Boys' Coming East!

The excitement is building - with The Boy's new album "FORGIVEN" being released on July 1st and then their current tour bringing them to the east coast in September - it's hard to sit still! I'm so excited for them, too, because another of their dreams, to play with Los Lobos - has also become a reality. They have an impressive 20-show "Brotherhood" tour this summer with LL and I know it's going to be GREAT! I don't think I'll be lucky enough to catch any of the shows with the exception of the final concert winding up in Central Park (SummerStage) in New York on August 14th. However, being on a Thursday, there is about a zero chance I'll make it. Bummer. But, we have Hampton Beach (NH), the Paradise Club (Boston), AND right in my backyard at Higher Ground in S. Burlington VT to look forward to - September 12th, 13th, and 14th respectively. Yee Haw!

Another note... Alejandro Escovedo's new album Real Animal is out on June 24th and I'm antsy to get it in my hands, too. This is a great summer for great new music!

Summer Thunder

Technically it's not quite summer, but why quibble? It's felt like the middle of summer here - we had a bona fide heat wave (that's 3 continuous days of 90 + degree weather) last week and the humidity really slowed you down to a snails pace. Along with weather like that comes the thunder storms, and you look forward to them because it usually brings relief from the heat and humidity. In this case it did! Here is a photo my son took recently - as a storm rolled over the neighborhood and this shot is a strike directly behind my house. Yikes! In actuality, it was probably miles away to the north but this looks pretty spectacular!

Handsome Blue!

We celebrated a birthday yesterday - my oldest son turned 35! How can that be?
So, Blue was in rare form. Perhaps too much SUGAR!!! The Halloween costume presents itself ... for a lot of laughs!

Send in the "Clouds"

We were out taking photos of the sky yesterday - it was a fickle day for weather! One minute it was sunny and warm and a few minutes later the sky became ominus looking and then a drizzle forwarded. No thunderstorms showed up but some beautiful clouds did!
